Wise Idea
I am not sure who's wise idea it was to ever invent that extra set of matching pillows that come with a sofa you order that matches it exactly ....but I think the best thing to do would be to ban them to the neighbors garage sale and get yourselves some proper pillows!
Proper pillows as in PLEASE follow the rules so that the sad pillow attempts sitting on your sofa right now will take your home to one fit for the queen...or king...(even though we all know it's the queen who makes all the decisions)
AS PROMISED, Here are the RULES:
1. NEVER USE THE MATCHING PILLOWS that come with your sofa purchase...EVER!
2. NEVER use pillows that are less then 22 inches on your sofa. Unless you have a couple small ones that are accompanying the 22-24 inchers!
3. NEVER use the polyfill stuffed pillows because they are closely related to that 8th grade sewing project you never quite finished in class and had to coax your mom into staying up late to finish for you.(or was that just me?) If you are going to use a pillow form, my vote is to only go with the downfilled or eco-friendly down alternative pillows.....ONLY....EVER!
4. PLEASE put the proper amount of pillows on your chair, couch, love seat or sectional(guidelines below)
CHAIR:1 or 2 pillows
LOVESEAT:Must have at least 3 pillows or 5 pillows
SOFA: Must have at least 3 but I prefer 5
SECTIONAL: Must have at least 7 and up to 10
5. ALWAYS KARATE CHOP them(my kids LOVE this) in the middle and group them together
6. Where to find proper pillows? You can find all kinds on the internet and great stores from high end to low end if you just follow the rules!
7. Find great fabric and have them made (i.e craig's list seamstress, dry cleaners, alteration places)
I really hope this helps because for some reason I find it my mission to help make the world a happier pillow friendly enviroment....Your couch will thank you and so will I!
